OXIDANT is a water-based stain remover to definitively solve specific types of stain on different types of material. The special, unique formula makes it a definitive, effective solution to:
– Remove yellowing and yellow stains caused through rising damp or water penetration of surfaces;
– Remove damp stains from materials or dark marks caused by water absorption on natural stone.
– Remove stubborn stains such as nicotine and tannin
– Remove particularly stubborn coloured stains not fully removed by using No Mac Gel
– Complete the rust removal stage from marble and lime-based material, removing the purple residue from the extraction action of Mar Gel Plus.

Brush, Spatula, Direct application to stains
Preparing and cleaning the surface
1. Carefully clean the surface, making sure to remove any dust or dirt present.
2. Never use OXIDANT on wet surfaces; make sure that the surface to be treated is dry or at
most, only slightly damp.
3. Do not apply OXIDANT to overly heated surfaces. We recommend applying the product
during the coolest periods of the day.
4. In the case in which the surface to be treated has a previous surface layer of wax, proceed to
the removal of the same with Double Stripping.
Application
OXIDANT develops active oxygen when used and therefore it must only be used alone. NEVER mix it with other chemicals, except for Faber Poultice thickening powder
5. The product is for use without dilution. Pour the product straight onto the surface being
treated. Use a brush, spatula or if simpler, pour directly onto the surface, covering it completely
with a thick layer of product.
6. Leave the product to act on the surface until the stain has been completely extracted. The
time required will depend on the type of stain, its depth, stubbornness and the amount of time
it has been there.
Although all cases have different characteristics that may require specific and different
timeframes, generally the time required to extract the stain can be summed up as follows:
– to remove yellowing and yellow stains caused through rising damp or water
penetration of surfaces: from 8 to 24 hours
– for damp stains or dark marks caused by water absorption, between 8 and 24 hours
– for stubborn stains such as nicotine and tannin, for example: from 2 to 8 hours
– to remove particularly stubborn coloured stains not fully removed by using No Mac
Gel:from 1 to 6 hours
– to complete the rust removal stage after using Mar Gel Plus OXIDANT must be left for
twice the amount of time as Mar Gel Plus
For stain removal operations requiring a longer period of time, we recommend covering the
layer of product with plastic or nylon sheet. Similarly, we recommend applying a sufficiently
thick layer of product to avoid having to add more in the event that it dries too quickly. This
process allows the product better reaction with the stain rather than the surrounding
environment, increasing the effectiveness of the treatment. When covering the product, it is
important, after removing the sheet, to leave it exposed for around 30-60 minutes before
removing it and cleaning the surface.
7. After the set period of time, proceed to remove the product and its residues, whether these
are wet or dry. To remove OXIDANT it is possible to use absorbent paper or cloths in case of
small surfaces, soaking up and removing residues until the surface is completely clean. Wipe the
surface with a slightly damp cloth and wait for it to dry thoroughly before assessing the stain
removal results. In case of medium or large surfaces, remove all residues – wet or dry – with a
broom and absorbent rags or a damp mop, until all excesses have been completely eliminated.
Wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth or mop and wait for it to dry thoroughly before
assessing the stain removal results.
If the finished result is not totally satisfactory, repeat the product application process as
described above, or decide on the need to sand the surface beforehand. If the stain is mixed in
origin, it may be a good idea also to use another type of stain remover.
When working to remove more complex, deeper stains from natural stone, such as damp and
yellow stains, it may be necessary to pass over the surface with a mechanical polisher to
increase the surface absorption and therefore, the penetration of the stain remover, for more
effective results.
The depth of polishing will depend on the extent of stain penetrations. For very deep stains, you
may need to work with lower grain size. This preliminary operation will achieve a much deeper
extraction and in far less time.
We always recommend that, before using stain remover on large areas, you perform an initial
test to see whether or not it is necessary to use a mechanical polisher on the surface
beforehand. Once the stain has been removed, pass over the surface until it has the required
shine.
Application of OXIDANT + FABER POULTICE
Preparation of mixture: pour OXIDANT in to a bucket or suitable container and add slowly and
gradually FABER POULTICE to it while mixing using a spatula, a spoon or any other suitable tool. Continue adding FABER POULTICE until a creamy and slurry consistence is obtained. Add more FABER POULTICE in case the mixture is too liquid or instead add OXIDANT if the compound has a too much dense consistency.
Application of mixture: Once the compound has reached the suitable consistency, apply it
directly upon the interested surface. Apply a thick and uniform layer to cover completely the
area. In case of long and difficult stain extractions, to increase the stain-removers action, the
mixture can be covered with a plastic film until removal. If you choose to cover the compound,
once the extraction has been done, make sure to uncover it and to let it dry before brushing the
residues on the surface. For small areas, borders of the plastic film can be fixed with scotch or
adhesive tape. If not possible, is sufficient to cover the compound with a film without fixing the
borders. Do not apply the adhesive tape upon the area covered with the product, but apply the
tape on the borders of the plastic film.
Opening to floor traffic
8. After rinsing the surface with water, wait for the floor to dry completely before opening to
foot traffic.
Complementary Cleaning and Maintenance Product
– For routine cleaning of a surface treated with OXIDANT we recommend: NEUGEL or
ALGAFLOOR
– For extraordinary cleaning of a surface treated with OXIDANT we recommend: FABER 30 or
DETERFUG, according to the type of surface to be cleaned
– Following a stain removal operation using OXIDANT we recommend using a damp-proofing
and/or stain-proofing treatment to be selected according to the characteristics and intended
use of the surface.
