Preparing and cleaning the surface
1. Carefully clean the surface, making sure to remove any dust or dirt present.
2. Never apply HIDRO 400 to wet surfaces. The product can be used on slightly damp surfaces.
Please ensure that the surface to be treated is as dry as possible.
4. Apply HIDRO 400 to surfaces with a temperature of between +5 and +40°C
5. Any adjacent surfaces not being treated with the product must be protected.
6. If applied on a surface where an acid cleaning was done, it is important that the surface has
been rinsed very well
Product dilution
The product is applied pure or diluted accordin to the type of surface where is applied
Use the product pure if applied on high absorbent materials with a porous and rough surface
such as hand-made terracotta, outdoor concrete pavers
Use the product with 1:1 or 1:2 dilution if applied on absorbent materials with a compact and
regular surface such as industrial cotto or cementine
Application as post-installation treatment
Apply a generous and even coat of product to a clean and dry surface with a tool of your choice.
The tool that we recommend is the lambs-wool applicator. Allow to dry and open the treated
area to foot traffic after 6 hours, at least. Should it be necessary to apply more product, we
recommend application by the “wet on wet” method.
If applied on surfaces with a compact, smooth and regular finish, it is possible to buff the
treatment to get a satin effect. To do this we suggest to use a white pad or a lambs-wool pad.
This operation must be done when the treatment is completely dry.
