K500 is a water-based cream maintenance polish, specifically formulated to maintain the shine on quartz, porcelain stoneware, and man-made siliceous surfaces which, due to their very nature, are particularly difficult to buff with good results. K500 is used to restore and preserve the shine on surfaces that have lost shine through foot traffic or wear.
K500 is quick and easy to apply and makes routine cleaning and maintenance easier, on account of its ability to seal surface pores on the materials. It creates a shine with a characteristic vitreous effect that is both resistant and durable. This makes it the ideal solution to polish and maintain surfaces that are usually subject to continuous, intense foot traffic.

40/50 m2/kg
Single disc machine, which has a power of 2 HP (2.2 HP is preferable); Manual rotary brush
Faber Chimica is able to supply the WARRIOR single disc machine, which has a power of 2.2 HP,
and is optimised for the correct application of any product.
Preparing and cleaning the surface
1. Carefully clean the surface, making sure to remove any dust or dirt present.
2. We recommend proceeding to apply the product in stages, covering surfaces approximately 1m
2 at a time.
3. Never apply K500 to wet surfaces. K500 can be used on slightly damp surfaces; therefore,
please ensure that the surface to be treated is as dry as possible.
4. Apply K500 to surfaces with a temperature of between +5 and +40°C
5. Any adjacent surfaces not being treated with the product must be protected.
Application
K500 is a white solid compound. It can be returned to its creamy state by shaking the container.
Different consistencies will in no way affect the finished results. The product can be applied in
both its solid or creamy states, since the rotary action of the polishing machine will in any case
return the product to its creamy consistency.
6. Pour a small amount of product directly onto the area to be polished. Generally, about 2/3
spoonfuls of product are enough to polish a surface area of 1 m2.
7. As soon as the product has been poured on, proceed to apply it to the surface using the
single disc machine, fitted with white pad and set to between 150 and 200 r.p.m. Pass the single
disc machine using concentric movements so as to distribute the product evenly over the whole
section being treated.
8. Continue to polish the same area until the product has dried completely (Dry Buffing
technique), taking care to broaden the movements outwards from the centre of the section so
as to cover the whole area evenly.
9. Pass on to the next section, repeating the polishing treatment process as described above.
10. After treating all of the surface areas, remove any steel wool residues from the surface using
a dry or damp cloth, a vacuum cleaner or a broom.
For better shine or to increase the sealing action of the material and therefore, its resistance to
dirt, repeat the application of the product following the same method stated above. Generally,
we recommend treating the same area with 1 or 2 applications of product, as required.
The product formulation will not cause overlap blemishes and therefore, once the maximum
surface shine has been achieved, there will be no difference or defects between the various
areas treated separately.
Drying time
11. After the product is completely dry, no further waiting time is necessary
Opening to floor traffic
12. After the product is completely dry, the floor can be opened for use.
