FABER NO MAC GEL

NO MAC GEL is a water-based stain remover to be used to extract and remove coloured stains from all types of surface With its innovative formulation, the product can offer effective, definitive action on:

 Coffee stains, wine, tea, coca-cola, tomato, and food and drink in general;
– Stains from marker pens and ink;
Mould, algae and the spread of plants and residues in general, such as stains from leaves, grass and clippings.

NO MAC GEL is a product that can be applied on all surfaces – even the most delicate types such as polished marbles and acid-sensitive finishes – without attacking them or causing them to lose their shine. The special gel formula of NO MAC GEL boosts its stain-extracting action, guaranteeing improved efficiency in terms of stain removal. It is also easy to use and effective on vertical surfaces.

Once applied over the stain to be removed, the product works alone without needing any further processes, until it completely removes the stain. NO MAC GEL is quick and easy to apply, and its use will not alter the surface’s original appearance.

Brush, Spatula, Direct application to stains

Preparing and cleaning the surface

1. Carefully clean the surface, making sure to remove any dust or dirt present.

2. Do not apply NO MAC GEL to overly heated surfaces. We recommend applying the product
during the coolest periods of the day.

3. In the case in which the surface to be treated has a previous surface layer of wax, proceed to
the removal of the same with Double Stripping.

Application

NO MAC GEL must only be used alone. Never mix it with other chemicals.

4. The product is for use without dilution. Pour the product straight onto the surface being
treated. Use a brush, spatula or if simpler, pour directly onto the surface, covering it completely
with a thick layer of product. When used on particularly large surfaces, such as when removing
mould and algae from floors, the product can be applied and worked with a mechanical
polisher.

5. Leave the product to act on the surface until the stain has been completely extracted. The
time required will depend on the intensity of the stain, its depth, stubbornness and the amount
of time it has been there.

Although all cases have different characteristics that may require specific and different
timeframes, generally the time required to extract the stain can be summed up as follows:

– Coffee stains, wine, tea, coca-cola, tomato, and food and drink in general: from 30
minutes to 2 hours.

– Stains from marker pens and ink: from 30 minutes to 3 hours

– Mould, algae and the spread of plants and residues in general: from 15 minutes to 1
hour

6. After the set period of time, proceed to remove the product and its residues, whether these
are wet or dry. To remove NO MAC GEL it is possible to use absorbent paper or cloths in case of
small surfaces, soaking up and removing residues until the surface is completely clean. Wipe the
surface with a slightly damp cloth and wait for it to dry thoroughly before assessing the stain
removal results. In case of medium or large surfaces, remove all residues – wet or dry – with a
broom and absorbent rags or a damp mop, until all excesses have been completely eliminated.
Wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth and wait for it to dry thoroughly before assessing
the stain removal results.

If the finished result is not totally satisfactory, repeat the product application process as
described above, or decide on the need to sand the surface beforehand. If the stain is mixed in
origin, it may be a good idea also to use another type of stain remover.

When treating particularly absorbent surfaces, such as untreated natural stone or cotto, to
prevent too much product from being absorbed by the material, wet the surface with a little
water before applying No Mac Gel.

When working to remove more complex, deeper stains from natural stone, it may be necessary
to pass over the surface with a mechanical polisher to increase the surface absorption and
therefore, the penetration of the stain remover, for more effective results.

The depth of polishing will depend on the extent of stain penetrations. For very deep stains, you
may need to work with lower grain size. This preliminary operation will achieve a much deeper
extraction and in far less time.

We always recommend that, before using stain remover on large areas, you perform an initial
test to see whether or not it is necessary to use a mechanical polisher on the surface
beforehand. Once the stain has been removed, pass over the surface until it has the required
shine.

Opening to floor traffic

7. After rinsing the surface with water, wait for the floor to dry completely before opening to
foot traffic.

Complementary Cleaning and Maintenance Product

– For routine cleaning of a surface treated with NO MAC GEL we recommend: NEUGEL or
ALGAFLOOR

– For extraordinary cleaning of a surface treated with NO MAC GEL we recommend: FABER 30
or DETERFUG, according to the type of surface to be cleaned

– Following a stain removal operation using NO MAC GEL we recommend using a damp-proofing and/or stain-proofing treatment to be selected according to the characteristics and intended use of the surface.
